After Katrina and Iraq, why should Dems be afraid of any campaign debate
about national security? I mean, SERIOUSLY. The Repubs are manifest, thorough, failures at national security.

But are the Dem candidates going to BE afraid, in 06 and 08? What are they going do?

1. One thing they better not do is to play nice...
They need to hammer these crooks until they are out of office.

2. because they're complicit?
and there is so much truth that needs to be avoided at all cost? I can't imagine what say...Ted Kennedy's take on all of this is. In order to play the game...you've got to be in it...and I don't think anyone remains unscathed. It must be pretty frigging confusing at times....which is probably why their speeches are so scripted. It's not that I think there aren't any good souls, but more that so many have been compromised or suicided that the risk is both illogical and detrimental. It must be a very ugly place...DC that is.
