White House: Praying for Sharon
U.S. President George W. Bush said in a written statement that "Laura and I share the concerns of the Israeli people about Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's health, and we are praying for his recovery."

"Prime Minister Sharon is a man of courage and peace. On behalf of all Americans, we send our best wishes and hopes to the prime minister and his family," Bush added.

'We must all pray for a miracle'

U.S. government officials expressed their concern over Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's condition and telephoned the Israeli Embassy in Washington DC in order to receive updates on his condition.

3. Sharon... a man of peace

w is such a great judge of human character.

in this moment, i am reminded of the passage in fiddler on the roof, when someone asks the rebbe if there is a prayer for the Czar.

there is, he says. "May G-d bless and keep the Czar... far away from us."

i hope Sharon is resting peacefully. and that his political career is over.

4. For me, Sharon will always be connected with Sabra and Shatila.
That was a war crime.

It happens that many war crimes go unpunished, but I would no more cry for Sharon than I would cry for Milosevic. Both are modern practioners of genocide.
