The Port Sale!
Did I hear correctly that even while the 45 day inspection of this deal that come Thursday the British company is going to finalize the sale to the UAE and it is a done deal, irregardless of the House and Senate investigations? Am I right or wrong?

1. What they are really saying....
Fuck the Congress! Fuck the American people! We'll only play this silly ass game of democracy up to a certain point. Don't mess with our schemes to make money. We will fuck you over.

5. I think that it is not about the sale of the ports, but a question of who
will manage the business. The US Congress and the President would have no say in the sale of the company to the UAE, but could have some say over whether the management contract gets approved.

6. There's a legal action in London to stop the sale - could be best chance
to accomplish this goal. Courts over there may work faster.

12. Do a search on Google, lots of info
Briefly, a U.S. company at the Port of Miami named Eller & Company, Inc., filed a court petition last Friday seeking to block the sale. Eller asked the High Court in London, which must approve its purchase of London-based Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Co., to stop the takeover. Miami-based Eller filed a similar lawsuit last week in a Florida court, alleging it will become an "involuntary partner" with Dubai's government and it may seek more than $10 million in damages."
