Did you hear Tweety last night, bemoaning the fact that maybe folks
don't like B* anymore? Personally? How could that be??

After all Tweey said that was his strongest suit, that he was a regular guy,a guy you'd have a beer with, a guy you'd want to barbeque with, a guy who would stop to help you change your flat tire while Kerry would zoom on by -When did that change? asked Tweety

I'm screaming at the tv "Stop and help you change a flat tire? He let a Gold Star Mother stay in a ditch by the side of the road and drove right by her!!!"

I think Margaret Carlson mentioned Katrina

Why, why do I bother watching those shows??

He also had to minimize the CBS poll as best he could

I swear B* could be at Cheney's levels and that DC Beltway media crowd will say it is only because we don't know what swell guy he is

Whores

1. I thought Tweety behaved like an idiot...
Just because HE likes Bush, he just can't believe the rest of the world doesn't. I have never understood why people say he is just a regular guy, anyway. He isn't, never has been, and the media shows how stupid they are, because they let him fool them all this time.

6. Its because Bush is limited to a 400 word vocabulary
and he can barely string a sentence together without making glaring grammar mistakes. The talking heads equate this with the "little people".

Long-Awaited Beer With Bush Really Awkward, Voter Reports

November 16, 2005 | Issue 41•46

WARREN, PA—Although respondents to a Pew poll taken prior to the 2004 presidential election characterized Bush as "the candidate they'd most like to sit down and have a beer with," Chris Reinard lived the hypothetical scenario Sunday afternoon, and characterized it as "really uncomfortable and awkward."

Reinard, a father of four who supported Bush in the 2000 and 2004 elections, said sharing a beer with the president at the Switchyard Tap gave him "an uneasy feeling."

"I thought he'd be great," Reinard said. "But when I actually met him, I felt real put off."

The picture they used summed it up:

Chris Reinard and President Bush try to think of something to talk about.

Wonderful satire. Just enough detail to make it plausible.

2. I have never seen Bush in that light, at all.
I always saw him as the son of wealthy family, spoiled brat frat boy.

17. Same Here
I never got that bit at all. Why would anybody see that silverspoon twit as a regular guy? Geez, unlike the rest of us, he has never actually worked a full day in his life, and if he wasn't born with his last name, . . .

Well, then he'd be a regular guy, who would have a job that requires the phrase "Do you want fries with that?"

5. Bush would not even think about stopping to help
anyone, even a 90 year old lady by herself, with a flat tire.

A more likely scenario would be that he'd floor his truck as he passed by and splatter mud in the woman's face! And even if he did stop, he's too stupid to know how to change a tire, he wouldn't be any help at all.

7. I caught a little of his talk with Carl Levin
Edited on Wed Mar-01-06 08:21 AM by rocknation
He said Levin reprented Michigan, a state with "regular" people who owned guns...how can it be that THEY dislike someone as regular as Bush? That's when I switched channels. Maybe "regular" people weren't meant to run countries.

8. On Today this morning "Republican experts" warned us 15 years ago
He said that Baker (Sec.of State( Skowcroft and even Poppa Bush said that going into Iraq would start a civil war and THIS White House failed to heed that warning.

I will see if I can find the direct quote.

10. GWB has never been a regular guy!
He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth! He never had to work for anything, he's been bailed out on numerous occasions by his father and the royal family of Saudi Arabia. He's had elections handed to him. He only attend functions that are attended by his most loyal of followers. To say he is a regular guy is a complete slap in the face to all of us average Joe's.

12. E-mail him at hardblogger@msnbc.com & hardball@msnbc.com
Dear Tweety,

Your 6-years' mancrush on Shrub has always been misguided, particularly when you project it upon the American people as a whole. He barely scraped by with one stolen election and arguably two. Yet you find in this some resounding sign of popularity. You have tried comparing him to CHURCHILL and God knows who else, where there are NO positive comparisons to be had. You have pined to "have a beer" with a known chemical abuser. You have gloried like a little girl over his calling your tie "preppy". You have mooned over various bulges in his costumes. You have said his Democratic opponents lost because common people didn't think THEY would stop to help them change a flat tire, when if it is ANYBODY who would shoot the bird out the limo window at the flat tire it would be Shrub.

Notice that all of the things you have found to praise him with are of the personal attraction variety---nothing of the substantive. This is a person who dismissed previous studies on threats to national security, who did NOTHING to prevent them for the first eight months, who ran for three days when it happened, who did nothing but act like a cheerleader standing on bodies, who then proceeded to launch a FAKE war of CHOICE, most probably for family cartel reasons, who has since giggled pathologically while the death toll for his decisions is in the hundred of thousands.

There is nothing CUTE about him, and your insignificant persona will be dumped on his on the ash heap of history as one of hundreds of media enablers for his criminality.

14. Maybe he's finally come to the realization that he is a terrible judge of
character? When Guiliani and McCain do something awful or opposition research turns up something really ugly on them he's going to need a crying towel.

15. But did you hear the panel response?
They said Kerry would stop and he'd actually know how to change the tire too. Bush might stop but he wouldn't know what to do if he did.

Tweety really does like bush, even when he is against the policies. he tries to make excuses for him, blame others in administration, suggest lofty ideals for bush. He likes him, really likes him. "Sunny nobility"

And that says something creepy. bush's pseudo-regular guy, manly man, nice and trustworthy facade is so easy to see through. He has always reminded me of the kind of guy you'd try to avoid at parties, shallow, slimy, self-important.

Kerry is more reserved but he would seem an interesting one on one talk, just the depth of knowledge and intelligence would make time fly.

Tweety not liking kerry is OK, you have to work to know how good Kerry was (god forbid a journalist bother to do that). But it took very little work to know what a sham bush boy is. That adulation is creepy. He is only worth watching on the CIA leak investigation.
