George W. Bush's legacy!
I keep hearing questions about how his poll numbers are going to effect his legacy. Did Bush have a great legacy prior to his poll numbers taking a nose dive? Why are the media outlets so concerned about his legacy? To be honest, he hasn't done enough to warrant a legacy.

1. His "legacy" is based on being a "BUSH" and nothing more.
This guy has not had ONE positive accomplishment in his entire career. Must be nice to live a life where one is merely a puppet for big businessmen and a bitch to sheikdoms.

2. Bush won't have a legacy. He'll have an aftermath.
I wish I had made that line up but I read it on DU a while ago.

3. If anything, it will be the presidency...
that caused the downfall of the United States and took the world into unprecedented chaos.

:scared:

But maybe that's what he wants.

From the song "The World That He Wants" by Jamiroquai:

Why does this man
Defy the storm and burn us all
Each time his hand waves
The sun it sets on lonely graves
Haven't we read this page before
We're gonna lose the war
Put down the glory flag
Nothing will be the same

This is the world he wants
Pray for the brave and the young
It won't bring them back again

Stillness you know that it reigns supreme
And suffocates our only dream
No birds can sing here
They've flown away
They didn't even say
When they'd be back again
Will they come back again
Unleash the hounds of hell
Whip up the fury wind
Hidden inside his dome

This is the world he wants
Pray for the brave and the young
He knows they're not coming home
Now do you ever, ever get the feeling
Ever get the feeling
This is the world that he wants
Do you ever get the feeling
Ever get the feeling
This is the world that he wants
This is the world he wants
This is the world he wants

4. Worst. President. Ever.

That will be his legacy. The man was in the tank before 9/11, which was like winning the lottery for him. He's spent all his 9/11 $$ now though and has nowhere to go but down; hopefully impeached.

5. Legacy
He's like one of those big lottery winners that ends up in bankrupcy. Takes a fortune and squanders it on useless stuff.

Too bad he's in a position to squander 230 years of whatever was good about America.

Hopefully some other country will come along that really does live up to the ideals our founding fathers created in all their wisdom.

I don't think he even cares if he goes down in history as a villian worse than Hitler, Stalin and Mussoloni COMBINED!

7. a legacy is neither good nor bad. it is what it is.Every president has one
Nixon had a bad one upon resignation, yet his EPA, SALT, Social Security, China, Tax and other policies leave him today with a more liberal legacy than Bill Clinton's.
Clinton had a legacy, although it continues to be revised.
Carter has a legacy of being a great man and a pisspoor president.
Ford has a legacy of soothing the choppy waters of our nation and being a decent caretaker president.
Truman has a legacy proving that one common man can do more good under more trying circumstances than any regal political families like the Roosevelts or the Bushes.
Bush will have a legacy as a global terra-ist, a starter of wars based on lies, of willful ignorance on all things environmental, of supporting only the ultra-rich, of deceit, false beliefs, neoconmanism, and absolute inept hiring and promotion practices.

11. Attila was a great leader. He managed to defeat superior forces
repeatedly. He administrated large areas of land, with several different tribes, who before him often battled each other. It is only the western myopia that makes him out to be some scoundrel.

9. I couldn't believe it when I heard the media start on this legacy shit
as well. They are mourning over this guy's coming legacy. As if we didn't know he was an idiot when they selected him in 2000.

12. Worst President ever--that's his legacy officially...
According to a majority of Presidential historians> Somehow, I don't think low poll numbers impact that!
