AMERICAblog says NBC must be investigating whether bush spied on CNN's...
...Christiane Amanpour.

"That is the only way to read NBC's just-issued statement on why they deleted key portions of Andrea Mitchell's interview after we reported on it here earlier today."

4. I heard an ex NSA analyst say media was a frequent target
Not much else was said about the comment but it stuck with me. This guy actually admitted on TV that they spied on media. He said it in passing and Im not even sure the host heard him ..but I did. I believe it was on Matthews's show.

5. I want to know what the hell CNN is doing about this question?
Or is spying on one of their reporters fine with them? Is it only okay when the reporter's husband is a Dem advisor to Kerry, Clark, and Bill Clinton? Criminy.

11. I think so
And like with the Abramoff case. And whenever Fitzgerald is done with his case too.

7. Wanna bet Mitchell BLEW THE WHISTLE ON THE STORY
ON PURPOSE? I say it was a warning to the fascist regime of what was coming. Why else would she do that to NBC?

13. To be fair, she could easily call one of them and tell them.
Signaling something on TV seems a little cloak-and-daggerish for someone whose husband works for these criminals. Mitchell could've picked up a phone and gotten straight through to anyone. They probably have 'interns' at the major media outlets anyway. If she'd just said it aloud off-camera, one of the little toadies would've heard it and reported back to the stormtroopers-in-charge.

She did make the news public, though, which intrigues me. Did she do it to be the first to announce it or did she want the general public to know about this before it nose-dives down the memory hole?

16. Hmmmm and maybe she saw NBC was going to
BURY the story? I never thought of that. Thanks. GOOD point. I have NO TRUST/FAITH in ANYTHING Mitchell says or does. :)

17. I don't trust her, either. Not for a moment.
But I can't forget the look of misery and, possibly, fear, on her face on election night when Junior pulled off his sudden 'comeback'. She was demonstrably queasy and I was shocked since she is such a water-carrier for the cabal.

I'm not giving her too much credit for releasing this tidbit, though. Part of me believes she did it to scoop all other reporters, including Amanpour, herself.

8. Follow-up link on what it means to Kerry, Clark, and Clinton.
Yes, this is a major story. No wonder NBC wanted to pull this section and review it first, lest the wrath of bush be visited upon their house and their children for generations to come.

What it means to John Kerry, Wesley Clark, and Bill Clinton if Bush wiretapped CNN's Christiane Amanpour: http://americablog.blogspot.com/2006/01/what-it-means-t...

<snip>

1. Such a wiretap would likely include her home, office, and cell phones, and email correspondence, at the very least.

2. That means anyone Christiane has conversed with in the past four years, at least by phone or email, could have had their conversation taped by the US government.

3. That also means that anyone who uses any of Christiane's telephones or computers (work or home) could also have had their conversation bugged.

4. This includes Christiane's husband, former Clinton administration senior official Jamie Rubin, who was spokesman for the State Department.

Apparently the MSM is NOT covering this (surprise, surprise), and IMHO it's too interesting a story not to share with the morning crowd.
