holy jeebus, anyone see the protestors in India on cnn?
the news reader said tens of thousands--there was a sea of people and to my untrained eye i'd say it looked like at least 100,000 people.

5. According to the BBC...
there were tens of thousands at the beginning of their article on the protests, but then says that "Earlier, about 100,000 protestors gathered in the heart of Delhi..."

14. Yes and all those poor people in India don't have the money
to trek to the city for a protest... The whole country should be there? Ridiculous..

If 100,000 voices are speaking, you better listen, they represent a whole lot more who could not make it....

I know I couldn't get a day off to protest Bush when the jobs were here in the US.

15. Looks like Bush has no where to hide.
I think he's too arrogant though to believe he could be so unpopular and hated as well.

16. This is a wake up call for Bush if he thinks he's got control
of India he is sadly mistaken as well as the Corporations...

The joke on the Corporations is they are making stronger their worse nightmare

and weakening those who would protect them...

stupid is as stupid does

18. Amazing.....
100,000 protesters? And Bush is there to negotiate? Just imagine, Bush is sitting with Manmohan Singh. (they're negotiating nuclear power).

Bush tries to tighten the thumbscrews, drives a hard bargain. Singh looks out the window, where thousands of people are protesting. Singh opens the window, to let in the noise.

How's that for a little cold water on your composure?
