I find this to be remarkable, given Fukuyama's recent stance on neoconservatism. Is the fact that he would align himself with Libby a sign that things may not go well for Dick Cheney in the near future?

Hmmm....

1. I was wondering just what the heck he has been about...
on tv appearances lately.

Seems a little clearer now.

But it could be some kabuki-like dance. You just never know with these guys.

5. Well, he wrote a book, too...
...so, I think his appearances are promotional. Regardless, though, he's taken a very public position against the foreign policy of the B*sh administration and, now, we see that he's prominently featured as one of Libby's defenders. I suppose it could mean nothing more than that he likes Libby personally. But people like Fukuyama have to be VERY aware that associating one's name with a high profile defendant will imply much more than friendship.

7. You're right.
He strikes me as being somewhat more moderate than his son.
