Do you:

A. Take him at his word.
B. GO "yeah, right" and check check under the podium for Karl Rove and his handy dandy Sharpie?

I don't believe a word uttered by Republicans any more. One of them could tell me my house was burning down and it be in flames, and I would not accept what they say. They've lied, they've lied, they've lied alot.

1. C. Will the Gentleman yield?
As to the tone of the letter, I appreciate that you have chosen to read something that agrees with your point of you. Can the Gentlemen please inform this body the total number of letters you have received on this issue as well as the numbers which took this side of the issue and those which did not?

9. "your point of you." Did he really say that or
was that a Freudian slip? I really like that because it's really what a point of view is.

"Your point of you."

3. You're thinking of Jean Schmidt
"Cowards cut and run. Marines never do."

but it turns out that 58% of the Marines polled agree with Murtha about pulling out.

7. Today, Louise Slaughter said she got a letter that said
"if you love fairness so much, then move to Russia"

There are lots of nuts, and some of them could scratch out a letter to a repub.

12. She should copy the letter and pass it out to all Democrats
To rebut every alleged letter Republicans introduce to the House and Senate. Let it clearly be known exactly who Republicans really are spewing gas for.

10. A long time ago I realized...
that it was dangerous to believe what any politician says. Take whatever they say with a grain of salt and then watch what they do.

Yeah, and Democrats, Greens... the whole lot of them. Lying is just one of the job requirements. I understand it, I expect it, and I've found out that most people out there feel the same way.

That's probably one of our biggest problems is that no thinking being ever takes a politician seriously-- and that makes it worse on the rare occasions when they are being serious.
