I live in Louisiana and watched in horror as he forked around ignoring 15,000 people dying of thirst and starvation at the port facility, while he pretended he didn't know they were there until AFTER they were shown on live TV, DYING in the streets.

He is an abject idiot. An Arabian Horse judge, who became a political crony and got in a position to create absolute bedlam.

How in the world is anyone getting the idea that this guy is anything but a criminal?

13. Point taken. I think my perceptions were colored by the portrayal

of Brownie as the fall-guy, and to hear him even asking questions made him seem to rise above the standard set by his boss, the pretzeldent.

The guy was in a job he was not qualified for. He does, however, seem to have tried to do something which puts him a few bars up the evolutionary ladder than Bush and Nosferatu er I mean Chertoff who did nothing.

What amazes me is that they just hung old Brownie out to dry. I mean if you're going to make the guy a scapegoat for your own incompetence, at least make sure he's paid off so he doesn't turn around and bite you in the ass. A nice little six figure job counting paperclips at Halliburton or some other connected GOP firm probably would have kept him quiet.

Clearly they are as stupid as they are arrogant.

Brown didn't do NOTHING. Which is what Bush has done during the two major disasters of his term- 9/11 and Katrina. Nothing while Americans died. Nothing.
