Remember the first time you saw The O'Reilly Factor?
I do. It was sometime in 2001. I remember the first thing that popped into my head was, "Who died and gave the Current Affair guy the right to an opinion?"

Honestly, the first time I saw it I thought it was some kind of joke. Why was a guy from a tabloid show talking about real news?

4. I heard him on Fresh Air
and decided it wasn't worth it to ever watch his television program. Haven't heard or seen anything since then to change my mind.

make the name "Fresh Air" kind of an oxymoron?

9. O'Reilly
Everybody has the right to an opinion (you remember that little thing called freedom of speech?) We sure exercise OURS, so that's a non-issue.

The first few times I saw him I couldn't put my finger on it, but I got the impression he didn't quite believe what he said, so I didn't know what to make of him. After that, everytime I heard him, I always had to ask myself why was he saying what he was saying? The reasons he gave for things didn't seem to be the actual reason--he seemed to have other motives.

After the Swift Boat thing--where he kinda came out against what they were doing, but not strongly enough--I stopped watching him even occasionally. I just don't trust the guy, nor the reasons behind the things he says. I don't trust even the slightest left-leaning things he says--I sure don't trust the right-leaning things!

11. I was suckered in by the "No-Spin Zone"
Oh goodie, I thought, this will be the unvarnished truth about things. After 10 minutes, I was saying "WTH??" It was nothing but hysterical, rude nonsense! How the hell does he get away with calling it a no-spin zone? Are there actually people who believe it's not spin... much less not lies? (rhetorical questions)

12. I think the first time I ever saw it was when he was crusading against
That company in the WTC that lost most of it's staff. Damn, their name escapes me at the moment. Anyway, the CEO had promised to help the family members of his former employees and I remember O'Reilly constantly talking about how he wasn't doing enough for them.

My thoughts were "why is the guy from Current Affair on the news screaming about this when there's so much other shit going on?"

15. No, but I remember when my wife first saw it.
It was while we were watching the Colbert Report's 8.30pm (EST) rebroadcast, and it occurred to me that she'd never seen the show that Steven Colbert was parodying.

So during a commercial break we switched to FuxSnooze and watched. My better half's mouth kinda--what's that word?--gaped in horror.

16. Isn't it funny that Colbert is better than O'Reilly?
And Colbert is a frakking SATIRE

Which Republitards can't seem to grasp, of course.

23. LOL! It's so funny how the first time you watch a FoxNews show...
...your instincts tell you that it must be a joke. I've found that to be the case several times.
