USA PATRIOT - Feingold reads constitution on Senate floor
RAW STORY March 1, 2006

Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) has read the text of the U.S. constitution to the U.S. Senate after the body voted 95-4 approving 3 amendments to 16 controversial provisions of the USA PATRIOT Act, set for renewal.

Feingold spent 34 minutes sharing the document with his fellow Senators, stopping to repeat the Fourth Amendment, which he feels the law violates.

9. draft RUSS FEINGOLD 2008!!
let's do it. He was the only 1 to read the original un-patriot act, cover to cover. Then he was the only 1 to vote against it. He also voted against handing Mr.bush Iraq. Hmmm..says "no" to Mr.bush,

This Man
~READ the Bill
~UNDERSTOOD the Bill,as written
~REFUSED to be whipped into a fear frenzy
~EXPLAINED his understanding of the UN-patriot act
~VOTED to protect both the AMERICAN PEOPLE,& OUR Bill o'Rights.

Dang,a dilemma! Suddenly real leadership OPTIONS!
and I was planning to draft Gen.WesClark & Max Cleland.

I have to wonder why there are so few such displays of courage and decency. We need a couple dozen Feingolds in Washington to help resurrect our country.

7. I agree. A couple dozen would be GREAT!
But, I would even settle for a couple more right now.
