If only 9/11 hadn't happened...
The twin towers would still dominate NYC's skyline
3000 Americans would still be alive
2000 American troops would still be alive
100000s of Iraqi civilians would still be alive
The Constitution would still be the supreme law of the land
John Kerry would be president

Yep, the world certainly would be a better place *sigh*

Just my thought of the evening

1. YOU ARE COMPLETELY WRONG - This all started not......
....with 9/11 it started when the Supreme Court appoint the boy king to the White House. So if 9/11 hadn't occurred something else would have. They would have seen to that.

4. You are correct, John Kerry would be President. 9/11 changed
how many people thought about Bush. IMO,he was a very mediocre President before then.

8. Mediocre?
Edited on Wed Mar-01-06 10:49 PM by Tactical Progressive
He'd already put America into $3 trillion more debt with his tax cuts for the wealthy, embarassed us internationally with his China spy-plane 'diplomacy', and let the biggest antitrust convictee in a generation, Microsoft, off the hook.

He wasn't mediocre by any stretch.

5. 9/11 Happened Because They Needed It To Happen To Justify All They Do...
It was no accident.

6. Bush might have found some other excuse to invade Iraq
He was talking about it long before 9/11

9. Even if 9-11 didn't happen, Bush still would've gone to war
with Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, France, Germany, Canada...

11. well . . . yes and no . . .
yes, the towers would still be standing and 3000 people would still be alive . . .

no to the rest of it, though . . .

- BushCo would still have invaded Iraq, just on some other pretext . . .

- BushCo would still be operating in the "unitary executive" mode, with Congress firmly under their thumb . . .

- BushCo would still have controlled the voting machines (and the result tabulations) in Ohio, Florida and elsewhere, and Bush would still have been "elected" . . .
