Chad Hedrick was awarded another medal

He just got gold in the Olympic Assholes competition.

Hedrick was on Leno tonight, and he said the biggest thrill for him was when his parents met Laura Bush in the stands and how his mom told Laura, "We Hedricks are Bush people!!"....and how Laura followed up by telling Hedrick's parents, "Well we Bushes are Hedrick people!"

As he was telling Leno about it, he was grinning from ear to ear and talking with the mentality of a 12-yr old. What a douchebag. I hope to hell Shani Davis continues to steal the spotlight from him in any future events.

Can you imagine the gall of this guy Hedrick? Not only is he a confessed Bush lover, but he refused to congratulate Davis after Davis became the first African-American man to win an individual gold medal in Winter Olympics history.

The clincher for me was when he was being interviewed after he won his gold medal, during which he mentioned that he won the medal on the 7th (may be wrong about the year) anniversary of his grandmother's death. Call me jaded, but it struck me as an opportunistic attempt to seem more heroic.

Try as he might to market himself as having an admirable character to the viewership, he showed his true colors when he treated Shani Davis so shabbily. As petty & spiteful as Hendrick behaved, he should never have been selected team captain.
