"Pro-Life" group encouraging vacationing in South Daktoa
Looks like they're feeling the heat people!

Snip: < (CNSNews.com) - A pro-life group in Wisconsin is urging families to head to the South Dakota hills for vacation.

The call comes in response to a threatened boycott of South Dakota by an abortion rights group.

The South Dakota legislature last week passed a bill banning all abortions in the state, unless the mother would die without one.

Backers of the bill not only expect a legal challenge, they want one. They see the legislation as a way to force the Supreme Court to re-examine its 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that legalized abortion.

The Women's Medical Fund of Madison, Wis., a group that helps poor women pay for their abortions, is urging its supporters and national feminist groups to join a travel boycott of South Dakota. >

3. How does this work exactly?
"If anything, South Dakota's abortion ban is going to improve South Dakota's profile, not decrease it," Tuttle said. "Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands, the Black Hills and the other top tourist destinations in South Dakota will be seen as more family-friendly," he said.

"Gee, Mom, Mt. Rushmore is so much neater now that I know the tour guide can't get an abortion! By the way, which one of those guys are they going to replace with Reagan?"

4. This is awesome--------------->
Now we can get even more publicity for the boycott, seriously.

I think this is a really good PR opportunity for us--the boycott has been noticed by enough people for them to start worrying about--now we reach out to more businesses and more people and start really voicing this.

They're going down, however it plays out. Pro-choice America is not going to take this laying down.

6. If the bikers boycott Sturgis, THAT will kill their tourist bucks
Not enough Xtians in this country to make up for a biker boycott.

I'm not a biker but I will just have my own family boycott of that effin, backasswards state. My kids can look at Mt. Rushmore pictures and I'll tell them they treat women like chattle in that state.

10. How many bikers attend the big event in Sturgis?
Why did they ever pick Sturgis to begin with?

There are only about 750,000 people in SD. It shouldn't be hard to put the hurt on them via boycotts.

18. Yes, it's nice to know that rapists have more rights than their
victims. From an article on yahoo:
If a rape victim becomes pregnant and bears a child, the rapist could have the same parental rights as the mother, said Krista Heeren-Graber, executive director of the South Dakota Network Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault.

"The idea the rapist could be in the child's life ... makes the woman very, very fearful. Sometimes they need to have choice," Heeren-Graber said.

Gee, maybe it's just me but I have a slight problem with rapists "claiming parental" rights to the child that the rape victim was forced to bear. Good gawd, they could just as well have legalized rape and incest while they were at it. Suffice it to say that I will never set foot in that state again. SD has seen the last of my tourism dollars.

15. Welcome to the 21st century
Words cannot express how pissed this make me. The fact that women are still not considered capable deciding matters that directly involve them, that there isn't more outrage concerning this issue, I swear to christ I haven't heard a peep about this on the news, nor have I heard anyone come out against these jackassy decisions. And I'm pissed at the ladies too, it seems everyones been asleep at the wheel for the past few years, and now everything has fallen into place to solidify our position as second class citizens. This isn't right, even pro life christians must realize that. Abortion is nasty ugly thing, but the outcome of this will be much nastier.

I'm sorry if that was a bit incoherent, maybe its all that vodka I drank this morning.

This would be much easier for them if everyone ignored the problem, so we must take action just as they do.

20. Please! Anti-women people vacation there in the winter - in flimsy tents
in the most isolated area during the blizzard of a life time and camp near a river - let's not forget the flash flooding that occurs in the winter.

Please. Go. Do this. Please take winter vacation camping trips in South Dakota. Please.
