Fred Phelps...

Him and his cronies are going to be protesting a soldiers funeral in Anderson Missouri this saturday. Governor Matt Blunt has signed new law, into effect that restricts protesters from protesting one hour before, and one hour after a funeral. It seems there is a range limit, on how far the protestors have to be, in order to not infringe on the new law the Blunt signed the other day. The protesters are going to protest a homosexual soldier, named Marion whom died while serving.

Anderson Missouri is only ten miles away from my home, and I cannot believe that these idiots are going to be disgracing a funeral in this way, its sickening. I am at a loss of words, over fred phelps and his phony baloney religion he clings too, but anywyas...thats whats going on in my neck of the woods today...I never thought, I would be this close to such a big group of complete imbeciles, but anyways...:(

on principle alone, my wife and I HATE Phelps, especially my wife, if you ever want my wife to start cussing around, just say FRED PHELPS, and she cusses worse than Eddie Murphy....:)

a week, when they're not on the road. Now that they've decided to picket soldiers' funerals (to point out that the Army is too "pro-gay"), they're in the news a lot more. Publicity really is all that matters to them, and they get a lot more media attention than they really deserve.

They usually flood their next target town with announcements of thier coming. Its filled with the same nightmarish things they say and put on their placards. The purpose is to incite a backlash. The stronger the better. When the death threats and hate mail start pouring in at the Phelps HQ (and they always do), old Fred or one of his minions will then turn it over to the local police in their target town as evidence that they need to be properly protected when they assemble peacefully, as it is their Constitutional Right to do so.

If something should happen to one of the Phelps cult at their protest, they would then turn around and sue the shit out of the local municipality for not providing adequate protection in the face of so much malice, i.e. death threats.

Its a game that they are very good at.

The locals turned out to surround the Clinic with friendly faces and signs and to ensure that clients who had appointments would not be harrassed any more than necessary. After watching the 10pm news, I am not entirely sure that he is gay, in the earlier edition, they made it sound like he was, but during the 10pm show, they were saying Phelps and crew are protesting the soldiers funeral, because he is a soldier, defending a sin filled America, and what not...so, i'm not entirely sure, all I know...Saturday, at quarter after noon, they will be in Anderson, Missouri protesting this funeral. The funeral takes place at 1pm...
