Daily Kos asking THE question: Has Bush gone off his rocker?
"Someone has to ask the question sooner or later: Has George Bush just plain lost his marbles? The secretive deal to sell our nation's largest ports to the United Arab Emirates was a puzzling decision from both a political and national security perspective, to say the least. Now this:

THE BUSH administration concluded a deal yesterday on nuclear cooperation with India, stating its willingness to supply India with civilian nuclear technology and thereby effectively accept India's status as a nuclear-weapons power.

The deal is being spun by the White House as a 'landmark' agreement which will ease India's growing demand for crude oil, by giving that nation more capacity to produce electricity using nuclear power instead of petroleum distillates. There's just one problem with that: India doesn't use much oil to speak of for electrical power generation. They use coal. The demand for oil in India is a consequence of the rising middle class now able to afford automobiles. And that demand will remain unaffected by the availability of nuclear power plants."

Given the fact that I personally have questioned Bush's sanity at prior points in our recent history, I have to ask the question of DU.

Has Bush jumped the shark and gone off his rocker? Should he be removed for mental illness reasons? What's the prognosis for his mental decline from this point? What risk to the US from having a seriously mentally ill President?

3. He's a lifelong substance-abuser, a cheat, a mean-spirited . . .
. . . sociopathic, racist, horse's patoot. And he's definitely off his rocker.

4. during the debates with Gore, you could see he was nuts...

...it was something in his eyes. Peering in them (shudder), even from the other side of the screen, you could see how unsettled his soul was, how completely starkers he was.

we are, I thought to myself then, in an utter world of shit if that man becomes the next President.

7. I just ordered it today. The author was on the Ed Schultz show today.
Just hearing him made me curious enough to buy the book. Got it on Amazon from one of the "buy it used" sellers. This on was new, but said it might have a publishers mark on it. I don't know what that is, but I don't care. Total for the hard back book including shipping was $8.41. I figure that's a small price to read what this guy had to say. He sounded like he really knew what he was talking about.

13. Believe me; after you read it, you'll join our chorus in telling others!
It's the Rosetta Stone to Bush.

8. He does very little that he, personally, thinks is a good idea.
Most of this crap is orchestrated by his handlers - Cheney? Who knows who else? - and he goes along with it. I just don't seem him smart enought to come up with a foreign policy, even a bad one.

Honestly, I don't see him having any motivation to do any damn thing.

9. exactly. gives him way too much credit

First we had the amiable dunce theory, now the "off-his-rocker" theory, but everything that has transpired in the past six years indicates that he operates to benefit the top 1%-2% at the expense of the rest of us. His incompetence, mental or otherwise, is not the issue. That's just a false hypothesis that's floated to keep the frogs sitting contentedly in the pot of simmering water while his daddy's cronies destroy the social safety net and sell our assets to the highest foreign bidders.

12. This guy is OK at driving his truck and clearing brush.
He is a Sock Puppet and the worst PR person ever to be selected as Pres. of the USA. If on ever heard him trying to explain the SS Scam that would be enough to know that he is not too bright.

He, Joe Klein, and Goodwin were on Lou Dobbs in a roundtable discussion earlier.

15. Bush fits the diagnostic criteria
for a sociopath. Without a doubt.

In addition, I think he's neurologically impaired. Probably as a result of alcohol, drugs etc. This is no joke. He has no business being President.

16. The man has not played with a full deck from the beginning, however,
all these questionable deals are not made by him. He's really just following orders. Now we do have to figure out who is running our country. I have felt for a long time that we have become a province of Saudi Arabia and now it would seem the rest of the peninsula as well. Where is La Femme Nikita and section when we need them?
