Okay so that is just petty name calling but this nutjob is putrid AND has power.

Bill Frist medical school experiments controversy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As a student, Bill Frist performed medical experiments on shelter cats while researching the use of drugs on the mitral valve. By his own account, Frist improperly obtained these cats from Boston animal shelters, falsely telling shelter staff he was adopting the cats as pets. In his 1989 book Transplant, Frist admitted that he killed these cats during medical experiments at Harvard Medical School, as part of his studies.
In his book, Frist explained that he succumbed to the pressure to succeed in a highly competitive medical school. Frist stated that he "treat them as pets for a few days" before he "cart them off to the lab to die." He went on to say, "And I was totally schizoid about the entire matter. By day, I was little Billy Frist, the boy who lived on Bowling Avenue in Nashville and had decided to become a doctor because of his gentle father and a dog named Scratchy. By night, I was Dr. William Harrison Frist, future cardiothoracic surgeon, who was not going to let a few sentiments about cute, furry little creatures stand in the way of his career. In short, I was going a little crazy." He went on to describe why he conducted animal experiments: "It can even be beautiful and thrilling work, as I discovered that day in the lab when I first saw the wonderful workings of a dog's heart.... I spent days and nights on end in the lab, taking the hearts out of cats, dissecting each heart, suspending a strip of tiny muscle that attaches the mitral valve to the inner wall of the cat heart and recording the effects of various medicines I added to the bath surrounding the muscle." "I lost my supply of cats. I only had six weeks to complete my project before I resumed my clinical rotations. Desperate, obsessed with my work, I visited the various animal shelters in the Boston suburbs, collecting cats ....It was a heinous and dishonest thing to do."

Today, on CBS’s Face the Nation, host Bob Schieffer pressed Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) about his views on Bush’s illegal NSA surveillance program. Frist, who famously flaunts the fact that he holds a medical degree, didn’t hestitate to share his legal diagnosis:

FRIST: I believe the program – I know the program is constitutional – that it is legal –

SCHIEFFER: Alright, let me just stop you, and let me just get back to the question that I asked you. Since you know all about it, as you’re one of the 8 who knows more about it than the others, do you think that the whole situation needs to be brought under the control of the court? Do you think we either need new laws to do that or do you think it’s ok to just keep going as you’re going?

FRIST: … Does it have to be thrown over to the courts, going back to the question you just asked? I don’t think so. I personally don’t think so.

SCHIEFFER: You don’t think that the court needs to issue a court order before they do that?

FRIST: No.

1. "Dr. Mengele of the Animal Kingdom"
I am SO using that.

Another example of compassionate conservatism.

And how it only applies to those they consider worthy enough to receive any.

I mean that in a clinical sense. A real control freak who will sieg heil at the drop of a dime.

Bill Frist threatens to re-structure the Intelligence Committee in order to block NSA hearings

(updated below - updated again)

The Senate Intelligence Committee was created in 1976 and, from the beginning, it has been unique in its structure and operation. Due to the urgency of ensuring that our country has nonpartisan and non-politicized oversight over the Government’s intelligence activities, the Intelligence Committee is structured so that -- unlike every other Senate Committee -- the majority is unable to dominate the Committee’s operation and agenda, and the minority has much greater powers than it does on any other Senate Committee.

With the March 7 vote looming on Sen. Rockefeller’s motion for the Committee to finally hold hearings to investigate the scope and nature of the Administration’s NSA warrantless eavesdropping on American citizens -- and with several Committee Republicans indicating their intent to vote for hearings -- Majority Leader Bill Frist threatened the Committee yesterday and warned it not to hold any hearings.

Frist specifically threatened that if the Committee holds NSA hearings, he will fundamentally change the 30-year-old structure and operation of the Senate Intelligence Committee so as to make it like every other Committee, i.e., controlled and dominated by Republicans to advance and rubber-stamp the White House’s agenda rather than exercise meaningful and nonpartisan oversight.

Yet again, Republicans are threatening to radically change long-standing rules for how our government operates all because they cannot manipulate the result they want. From redistricting games to changing the filibuster rules, when Republicans are incapable (even with their majorities) of manipulating the political result they want, they use their majority status to change how our government works in order to ensure the desired political outcome.

4. I've always suspected this,
it's why I was hoping he created political suicide because of the Schiavo fiasco, Justice Sunday and the financial investigation.

But I live next to his constituents, none of that matters to them, as long as their god-warrior defeats the liberals.

8. I remember that interview.
The news anchors today are way to soft on him, they should be rubbing his face in it.
