Location: Knowledge, Inc. I use to be a big movie fan....became indifferent in the 90s, and have become increasing irritated with Hollywood, in general; and their self-important and self-aggrandizing POS ceremony. It's not like I was ever a huge fan, but I used to be curious about the major awards....not the case anymore. I'd rather watch paint dry....

As proof, I am breaking my "no work on Sunday nights" policy.....I'm headed to the office for a couple of hours of work. I'll check back in a couple or three hours....

Anyone else doing something more interesting tonight.....say, cleaning their toe-jam or belly-button lint??? Heh.

So, what are you doing instead of, or perhaps along with the Awards ceremony you may have one ear on....are you engaged in something else, much more entertaining and interesting? Fill the Planet in....

Though if their walking is as graceful as their prose they'll need to keep off the stairs to get there...

I've always said that was what the McCarthy hearings were all about, to sweep all the talent out of Hollywood to give a clear field to men like Reagan. The dismal movies of the late 50s and early 60s would seem to bear this out.

...that only a freeper has no interest in the Oscars. I don't give two shits about the Oscars, or 90% of movies in general because it's utter drivel. I find the notion of watching these sordid back-slapping ceremonies where celebrities *do* self-aggrandise and tell each other just how great they really are.
