There's no way anyone can convince me otherwise that these freaks want to tear down the constitution in favor of a "christain nation" aka a theocracy.

1. Grown daughter has arrangements with two dear male friends
in case Handmaid's Tale thing comes down... if they aren't married by then, one of them will marry her to offer legal standing. It is that bad that some are making contingency plans.

3. Yep!
Sure is scary! What worries me is that this is being done more to control people than to bring peace and happiness.

4. An interesting website on the subject:
http://www.theocracywatch.org/

A good way to put a stop to this thecoracy is to support the groups that oppose the religious right and support church-state separtation:

Americans United www.au.org
ACLU www.aclu.org
People for the American Way www.pfaw.org

5. You forgot how the RR got NBC to pull The Book of Daniel.
Secular folk and moderate Christians need to be active before everything they take for granted gets yanked and destroyed, like book burnings.

11. I think the RW spewed enough BS about it that some people
who would have taken the show in the right spirit didn't give it a chance. Hence the low ratings. I liked it. I thought it was funny, realistic, entertaining, and credible in many ways.

10. They'll never get there..
... they don't have the majority. And the backlash, engendered by their overreaching, will be costly to their cause.

Or not, I don't know.
