Anyone hear the several Repub callers to C-SPAN this morning?
On Washington Journal, I was shocked at the anger and vehemence against the Republican Party by Republicans! At first, I thought it was just one angry caller...but then another...and another. It appeared to be a trend. If I were a Republican Congressman, I would be very worried about November.

1. "When you sow the wind, ye shall reap the whirlwind"
they deserve every stone thrown in their direction, since they so strenuously advocate stoning innocents. Karma is hard, eh Shrub?

12. What will be interesting is the cover story they come up with
Edited on Tue Mar-07-06 11:41 AM by Atman
"With approval ratings hovering around 30%, the GOP candidate staged a miraculous last-minute upset as voters apparently put their concern for national security above their partisan anger."

Bet money on it.

13. Don't forget family values
"The issues of gay marriage and abortion appear to have had a larger effect on voter turnout than expected. Once again, social conservatives have given the election to Republicans."

3. I've noticed the same thing for the last several days. At one point one
of the hosts (I forget which one) actually interrupted a caller and said to her "You called in one the Republican line, are you sure you got the right one". She exploded with " I have been a solid Republican for over 30 years but I've had it with this lot".

The times they are a changin!!

4. I read it my local newspaper too.
The AZ Republic tends to the conservative side and the LTTE are increasingly by angry Reps who don't like what they see happening in their own party. Maybe their eyes are finally opening! God, I hope it's not too late!

7. They should be angry because the backlash is only going to
hurt them (the old-fashioned Republicans like my husband) and they know it.

9. How will it hurt them?
When Democrats have control the people benefit. Democrats make their decisions based upon the people's interest and not the Party's or the Corporation's. How do you think old fashioned Republicans will suffer if Democrats take control?

11. How will the GOP suffer if the dems take over?
They'll all go to the slammer. Even the "old time republicans" should, as accomplices to the BushCo criminal cabal.

15. Well, this may come as a shock, but not everyone in the world
thinks as I do... or as you do... or as any other Democrat on this forum does.

My husband is a Republican and he's a fine man. Surely you are aware of this fact -- not ALL Republicans in this country are corrupt. I imagine many of us have Republican family members.

Most of them just have a different way of looking at life, and that certainly doesn't make them ALL criminals!

16. I asked how a Democratic takeover will hurt the "good" Republicans
They are people aren't they? Democrats are good for the people. So how will a Democratic takeover hurt the "Good" Republicans. That was the question and it in no way cast aspersions.

14. The majority of the calls seemed to think it was a "power grab"
by Bush. And they said he did not need any more power.
