When we will know the results of Delay's battle today??
is there a site that I can link to that will keep streaming reports of the vote totals? I would love to see him lose today.

2. Doesn't he have to get 50% of the vote?
His approval was at 27% when he was indicted, I remember that.

I'm guessing that he'll lose.

If there is a god, that is.

4. TX primarys are today. Yes DeLay has to get 50% or there will
be a run-off.

5. primary today - he is running against 2 or 3 other rethugs, one of
them has a decent chance, but is unlikely to win.

13. Yeppers...I'd Love 49%...And restock on the popcorn
I don't want to see Weaseldick go down tonight. It's too soon...he's now quite done roasting on the spit. I want to see him win tonight, but with only 49%...enough to force a run-off and create yet another financial drain on his dwindling fortunes. Imagine what a tough sell it's gotta be to get a campaign contribution from "friends". LOL. Methinks he's all but self-financing from one of his many slush-funds...but at least it's money that is being thrown away now and not being saved for his Idi Amin style retirement in Switzerland I suspect he'll end up taking rather than face extradition for yet another round of trials.

Nothing would be more delicious than to see Nick Lampson get his chance to gain a bit of revenge by beating Weaseldick in November...and to keep his ugly mug around the entire election season as the poster boy for Repugnican corruption.

7. Oh, he'll win the primary.
Word is lots of people are crossover voting in the Reep primary so he's on the ticket in November. Then we're going to kick ass.

29. Well, the first part of your prediction came true.
The Hamper won the primary. I think this is going to be a happy November.

It will be more fun when a Democrat defeats him in November.

9. i don't, i hope he goes down in flames today. I've been waiting
since I lived in Texas and then moved away for Delay to lose and eventually be jailed. Today i hope he gets publicly slapped by the voters in his district.

10. It's better if DeLay wins the primary
Then he'll face a strong Democrat in November and most likely lose after a brutal campaign.

Any other Repug would stand a better chance in November of taking the district because they won't have ties to the GOP corruption.

11. I was thinking that same thing, Tempest
But I respect chimpsrsmarter's desire for immediate justice.

For me, everything is secondary to winning Democratic control of Congress this year.

12. i understand that if he won the primary and lost the election it would be
a repudiation of Delay and hopefully all republicans but the selfish part of me wants to see him go down hard today.

20. I can relate to your feeling
I'd like to see him get an immediate bitch-slapping, but taking back the House in November is much more important and will have a longer lasting satisfaction result.

23. polls close at 7; I wouldn't expect early returns until 9:30 or 10.
That's local time, which is Central. Delay is expected to win the primary.

17. Revenge in November would be sweet, but
I want the bastard to go down today! I want him to know when he goes to bed tonight that his career in politics is over. He has hurt so many with his corrupt actions, I want him to know ASAP that it's all over for him.

The fat lady has sung.

The writing is on the wall, etc.

22. I doubt he'll lose any sleep if he goes down today
He's greased the wheels so well, he'll land a job in the lobbying industry that will make him a millionaire many times over and continue to be a powerhouse in Washington.

It's more important he loses to a Democrat in November so it helps the Democrats take back the House and leaves DeLay completely powerless.
