I just saw an ad for Air America radio on CNN...

That's the first time I've ever seen one.

I'm watching on Comcast Digital (North Bay). The ad was for KQKE, 960AM, San Francisco, the local Air America affiliate.

The only way I know about it is from DU and paying attention to AAR's expansion. Most people don't do that.

But they really do have to do more in terms of offline promotion. Apple, as famous as it is, did NOT rely on Internet word-of-mouth to sell iPods and then iTunes, and I think that decision is a huge part of the reason why they're beating Rhapsody and Napster by light years. TV would be ideal, of course, but even newspaper advertising would be enough.
