Question regarding donations to people seeking offices.
I've actually been thinking about this for some time. I kinda want to set up a paypal account, and on all my sites, where ever I can, sponsor this fund to goto the candidate that I feel might need it.

I do realize that it might not be as successful, since people might not want to donate to the same person as I might want to.

But, donations are tax exempt right? Lets say I raise $500, do I have to file that in my taxes?

What is the procedure for something like this?

And yes, I'm a newbie with crap like this.

Thanks for any advice on this!
