and apparently that backdrop is the local NBC affiliate, WFLA's, idea of "city skyline art."

I was not trying to suggest that the backdrop was KO's creation. I have noticed some "creative" backdrops used by other "news" programs meant to indoctrinate us into a mindset of war & fear, cnn is the worst at this practice.

On my local news they just tend to have city skylines...nothing that looks like a mushroom cloud...unless you're looking for one. And it's been so long since I've watched CNN that I wouldn't know what they do.

On cnn's "Live From" they have a kind of strange backdrop, and in the upper left corner is a military helicopter flying around. Just strange. They have another backdrop that they don't use as often that is blood red, and IIRC it is used for "terror" updates. Casinos know the worth of using colors to influence people. Red can be used to convey many things depending upon the context, but in the context of discussing "terror" it would seem to influence one to have a sense of danger.

I realize that it is just an nbc local affiliate, but about eyebrow level over KO's right shoulder there appears to be a mushroom cloud. I asked because I wanted to know if anyone else has noticed the same. Guess not.

A couple of nights ago he said that people were complaining about it. huh??

I thought it was pretty, but then I lean toward jewel tones. :)
