Bush's Approval Rating Hits New Low

WASHINGTON - More and more people, particularly Republicans, disapprove of President Bush's performance, question his character and no longer consider him a strong leader against terrorism, according to an AP-Ipsos poll documenting one of the bleakest points of his presidency.

Nearly four out of five Americans, including 70 percent of Republicans, believe civil war will break out in Iraq — the bloody hot spot upon which Bush has staked his presidency. Nearly 70 percent of people say the U.S. is on the wrong track, a 6-point jump since February.

The AP-Ipsos poll, which has a margin of error of 3 percentage points, gives Republicans reason to worry that they may inherit Bush's political woes. Two-thirds of the public disapproves of how the GOP-led Congress is handling its job and a surprising 53 percent of Republicans give Congress poor marks.

By a 47-36 margin, people favor Democrats over Republicans when they are asked who should control Congress.

3. SwampRat, Your new bush political statement is POWERFUL and sad
I always feel so sorry for the soldier with tears running down his face in your statement about really supporting the troops by bringing them home.
I wish I could upload it onto AOL messageboard with their keyboard battalians now really threatening liberals with death for "causing the deaths of our troops" and their Disneyland view of the soldiers as Rambo and denial of PTSD and that any soldiers suffered from homelessness and drug addiction and suicide from Vietnam and Iraq when they came home. They start spouting the lie about liberals spitting on Vietnam Vets and Jane Fonda as scapegoat and traitor has come back strong.

Keep hoping to alert people about the truthsites online and giving them URLs to visit.

5. I've had that graphic in my sigline for a long time.
I don't want to remove it... not until the troops come home.

2. Time to Get the Impeachment Ball Rolling:

Yes, the unanswered question was/is HOW?? .... (my answer>>)
From Mr. Conyers's blog:

We had a rousing and informative evening last night in New York at the impeachment forum hosted by Harpers Magazine. ...

There was a lot of discussion about how impeachment should be presented, how we develop more support -- among Members and in the Media, and most importantly, where we go from here...

I have no doubt that not only would we take back the House and the Senate, but that we would be able to hold the Bush Administration accountable for their mistatements, misteps, and yes, their lies...

I think last night was a milestone. It was so gratifying to see all of our hard work in action outside the beltway...
