Bald faced Katrina lie
"I fully understand, and I hope your country understands, the pain and agony that the people of New Orleans and Louisiana and the parishes surrounding New Orleans went through," Bush told residents.

Oh yea georgie boy? Then tell us about it. Tell us when you lost your house in a flood that could have been prevented. Please.

6. I wish I could give you a statistic, but I am tired and ill.
Been sick all night. I was wondering if it was caused by the mold in one of the classrooms (or my bedroom) I was in last Wednesday, but I now believe it is a virus. I can only hope I will get better with no complications since I can no longer afford to see a doctor... which are very few and far between here in NOLA.

10. Hang in there Rat
I don't know how much of a difference it makes for me to type these few words, but many of us around this country do care about the Gulf Coast. I have been down 3 times to do relief work in Mississippi. It might not be much given the widespread devastation, but we're doing what we can. Hang in there pal, because you guys are important to the rest of us. We are in this together.

12. Nice work!
I am glad to read that you have been down there 3 times. You are a hero. Thank you for helping them.

I love your sentiment, we ARE all in this together but damn they are dealing with so much it almost feels bad to say that.

4. Remarks such as this (from Bush) piss me off more than anything
else he spouts

When he pretends to have a clue
When he pretends to give a damn

About the suffering he has caused or helped to make worse.

For that man to even suggest he has any common ground - that he understands that kind of loss and suffering .... more especially a man who had the power to help and didn't. Yet now wants to pretend he cares.

5. The American people must be reminded of this from now
until New Orleans and the south are rebuilt.
The failure of our government must be front and center in the upcoming election season. Congress is just as guilty as bu$h because they will not investigate the reasons for bu$h lack leadership during the crisis which still exists today.

8. Let The Detachment Continue
Every time his assholiness steps in this mess he only makes things worse. Honestly, what can this oxygen thief do to really help other than to stay out of the way.

For the rest of the country, any time this issue comes up now, it makes everyone wonder about their own safety. Be it from an earthquake in California to fires in Arizona and Colorado to Tornados in the Midwest and so on. While the terror threat is abstract, a natural disaster threat is very real to a large number of Americans and seeing the devestation that still remains in the Gulf Coast is a vivid reminder of how inept and corrupt this regime is.

Over the last week, we've had some very heavy rains across the Midwest...the kind that can, mixing with the northern snow-melt, turn into a mess along the major river valleys. Fortunately due to the mild winter the snows aren't of a major level and many of the areas getting the rains suffered from drought last year...but we've seen conditions change here in a hurry. Here's hoping for a very quiet spring along the Big Muddy.

Cheers...
