No internet?? That might be a blessing. The other day I spent several hours on the computer, mainly on DU and DailyKos. The stuff I was reading about Bushco and the new/and/or continuing fuckups put me in such a totally pissed off as well as anxious mood that I realized I had to stay away from here (not 'cause of you guys, but because of Dimson and Company) just for my own health. The stay lasted about 24 hours. :)
Good luck on with the airport, flight, your stay with the repug inlaws, etc.

- It just kills them to admit the "Bush Haters" have been right all along.
- Over five years of hard to redact posts, editorials, rants, hate and name calling.
- This isn't just political damage, we are going to have to deal with the debt, the Supreme Court, the Middle East disaster, the enviromental destruction, loss of diplomatic credibility, loss of moral standing, and the looting of wage earners for generations. This is going to be worse than Reconstruction and every month that the GOP controls government is going to add a few years to the bill.

Anyway, do what I do, shake your head and laugh a lot.

My in-laws (who are hugh bible-thumping nutters) were complaining about NCLB, Medicare (they take care of one elderly relative), and the new bankruptcy bill - all in one night. It was a treat to hear them complain about bush's pet projects.

It kills them that my wife and I live a normal life with two great kids while their other daughter/son-in-law (the strict, conservative, church-going pair) are completely out of control.

To them it should be the other way around.
