(VA) Senate rejects bill on guns in parking lots

The Virginia Senate shot down a National Rifle Association-backed bill yesterday that would have prevented businesses from restricting guns in parking lots.

It would have barred businesses from ordering employees or other people not to store legal guns in locked vehicles in public parking spaces, with some exceptions.

Joel Partridge, an NRA lobbyist, called senators "cowardly" for killing the bill on a voice vote and protecting themselves from political fallout.

Why would he call them Cowardly? Was the bill so atrocious that it would take great courage to vote for it against the better interests of the people. What other explanation can there be for being called cowardly for not supporting it. :shrug: Words have meaning and this one tells a story as well.
