Has anyone else read the book "Reefer Madness"?
I just started it and it is amazing. I can't believe some of the harsh penalties some places have for simple possession of marijuana. Some guy in Oklahoma City got life for .16 of a gram, and another got two life sentences plus 10 years for possession of 2 lbs. That is insane.

I also can't believe all the politicians that have proposed making selling weed into a capital offense.

Anyone else read it?

Smoked some weed, immediately went crazy, and bit the top off a bottle and bled out the mouth like a shot hog.

11. Some neighbors got a copy and invited everyone for some
beers and to watch it in the early seventies. By that time it was screamingly funny as everyone in the apartment either had smoked weed at one time in their lives or were presently still doing so.

You'd think people would be given sentences for pot like that in places like Singapore or Thailand, but not here!:scared:

I know you know it's an ongoing issue, but subconsciously books invoke a sense of "it's history" and the drug war and other mandatoy minimums are a very real, present drama:

Wait until you get to the parts about strawberries and pornos....
You will never look at a dish of strawberry shortcake again without thinking about how many people suffered to get those berries to your table, or how many people had to go to prison so you could watch Horny Asian Sluts on paw per view....
