2. Yep. Just jammed himself right into the pack...
I think it was because he is on the Defense Committee.

Good to know we have Bare Knuckles Whiner Joe looking after us on DeeFence.

3. A little velcro-mentum
He seems to always be attaching himself to republicans, and trying to be photographed doing so.. I wonder if he's planning on switching after this election..That would mean a secure yrs in the senate in case no one asks him to be bridesmaid in 08

4. This progressive leftie has a soft spot for Joemuntum!
I also enjoy telling this story. During the primary, Joementum was at a boat show with the CSPAN Road to the White House crew.
Every single person that would come up to Joementum said pretty much the same thing:
"Thank you for running. You are the only one that I trust. The rest of them seem so mean." (yadda, yadda - people kept coming up to him, dissing the other dems, and praising him.)
Joe would thank them, then request that they vote for him in the primary.
"Oh. We are republicans." they ALL replied!

I swear, Joe kept looking at the camera, as if this was somehow a horrible set up to make him look like a right wing nut job. Toward the end he says something like "This really couldn't get any worse." Throughout the whole thing, he kept his charm and patience.

I laugh about it every time I think about it.

5. He was just endorsing Abizaid's endorsement of global capitalism
Although why a MILITARY GENERAL is sticking his nose in COMMERCIAL interests seems to be under-reported.

http://www.local6.com/politics/7851204/detail.html
Meanwhile, the top U.S. commander in the Middle East has stepped into a political firefight in Washington.

Gen. John Abizaid took the unusual step for a military leader of criticizing opposition to the attempted purchase of the ports by DP World. Abizaid called it "Arab and Muslim bashing."

6. My wife who is politically astute but not involved
said yesterday when Jomentum came on..."see that just makes my point.
There's that Joe idiot huddled up with Republikans. Every time I see Lieberman he's around a bunch of Republikans. I didn't like him in 2000 and I sure don't like him now". Her point has always been that they all serve $$$ and are dirt bags. She's probably right in the final analysis. She still votes for the Dem though.

7. Look at some of the Dems
Some have managed to get elected from truly conservative states, such as Nebraska or South Dakota. I can see that they can not be very liberal, but Lieberman? He represents Connecticutt. He doesn't have to hide his liberalism to stay in office. He hides it because he is not a liberal. He tongue kisses Bush because he truly does love it. What the hell was Al Gore thinking back in 2000? It was not Gore's finest hour.
On the same topic of nominations, I read on a blog yesterday that Carville and Begala recommended that Zell Miller be the VP nominaton in 2000. Jesus Christ! Some people truly are brain dead.
