Funny how Matthews quickly assumed gays would burn down black churches but it didn't occur to him that Republican raised, bigotted brats could have done so.

He will be defending the bigots...he will write it off as pranks and kids that got bored..

Their article this morning was lopsided it its defense of "those cute white boys' (my words). Friends gave affidavits on how talented they were and how many friends they had. I was peuking as I read it. If these were 3 poor black boys they would already be off to Gitmo.

I had a post about this and I have heard them called "Pranksters" and "college kids" on television.

Both of those terms are misleading.

But tweety mentioned this didn't seem racial as it usually was with white racists burning down black churches. He asked if the baptist church had made controversial decisions lately, would they have upset anyone? He mentioned gay groups along with some other stupid guesses. I remember expecting him to throw in satan worshipers, but he didn't.

Nothing sounded like he thoughts gays did it or that he was actually accusing them. It was in the midst of a conversation about possible motivation. If you look at who the baptists have insulted gays is one of the groups. It was stupid but not any emphasis, not way out of line, just part of the conversation.

I usually only watch him about the libby/CIA leak because he was good at that and takes it to cheney. I mostly avoid him because he adores bush so much. Not sure why I watched this one, if there was libby news around the same time.

I like bashing him when he deserves it, but this just wasn't like it is being made out to be. Frankly gays should be angry and I'm sure they are with the religious and political right using them to whip people into some quasi-moral frenzy. I've never heard of activist gay groups responding with violence so that made it a stupid question, but it was a question and not an accusation.
