Tweety: Republicans taking the 1st step toward picking the next president.
He actually said that. And look at the graphic that preceded his pronouncement...

Fuck you, Chris Matthews!

4. You the people don't choose the President
you ratify the choice that's already been made for you.
It couldn't be any clearer, could it?

6. Maybe Tweety is trying to talk in code and tell us that the Republicans
are fixing the next election like they fixed the last two?

I'm just sayin...

12. I think the Democrats would be very silly to allow Russert or Matthews
to MC the next presidential debate. It's obvious that they have not only become Republicans, but they're media whores. We need to make this an issue and break with the patterns of the past. Don't let Matthews pick the next president.

17. the league of women voters or someone like that needs to take over
from that lame ass bipartisan commission that lets the candidates make up their own rules.

Probably the best debate would be something like Ross Perot and Al Gore did with Larry King for NAFTA--they asked EACH OTHER direct questions. Bush could not survive a process like that.

Second best would be having public vote for questions and get the reporter most likely to do tough follow ups to ask them.

The reporters both sides would fear would be Amy Goodman and Seymour Hersh.

5. You Don't Really Think A Democrat Is Going To Win
Everybody already knows that the next winner of the crown will be a repub. They have control now, so I doubt they're going to give it up for awhile.

14. Getting mad and angry at Tweety is pointless.
Simply put it's a waste of energy and when you listen to his crap all your doing is putting dollars in his pockets. When I want commentary I'll listen to AAR, Jon Stewart, or Bill Maher. I mean has Tweety ever said anything positive about the left?

15. Read on the dark side that he asked a bunch of folks who they
Edited on Fri Mar-10-06 07:36 PM by ourbluenation
were leaning towards - none answered what he wanted to hear which was McCain - apparently he was speechless. They all answered some other righties...Dr Videotape, Rice, etc...Sometimes Matthews says so many out of step things I often wonder if he lives on an island and flies in to tape his show and then leaves again. Besides his political leanings, which have been regretably shifting right (Poor Tip O'Neill) he just seems so clueless for someone who lives in the political world. Has no real sense of the regular joe at all.
