Anyone see D. Imus tell Santorum he was crazy on tv this morning?
I've started watching Imus in the morning on MSNBC, and really like it quite a bit. Imus really cracks me up sometimes.

Anyway, it was hilarious. Imus said to Santorum, "I can't help it if you're crazy." (or something pretty close to that LIVE. Santorum didn't really know how to respond.

Any other Imus fans out there?

1. Before I got satellite radio
I listened to him every morning. I don't always agree with him but I do find him refreshingly honest. He also has great guests.

2. I saw it.
I do think Imus said he was crazy.
Pitiful part was Santorum whining at the end of the interview, begging Imus to say he likes him.
I can't wait to get rid of that sorry excuse for a senator.

3. If Imus would do a few simple things, I'd be a fan.
1. Get rid of that lame rat-chewed cowboy hat.

2. Stop sucking losenges or chewing his cud or whatever it is he's doing all the time.

3. Post a picture of himself that isn't 50 years old.

4. Shut up about College football.

5. Forbid the butt-kissing "I-man" nickname.

6. Get the message that women aren't "playthings" and that he's too old to play with them if they were.

7. Fire that jerk sidekick of his who sexually harassed Contessa Brewer twice in the same morning on the air.

...LOL..well you have some good points. HE's not perfect, but sometimes he can really crack me up.

10. These points are the best because
I have watched him but can't for too long. Defiantly thinks women are some kind of toy. :kick: It is offensive to me.

11. He is a bit concerned about his Resistol Hat
Apparently they were featured in BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN.

The lozenges he sucks are NICOTINE--he also chews nicotine gum. His old lady made him quit smoking and give up meat.

College football is his "hook" with the dunces and the gambling (Bo-that asshole-Deitl) set.

The "I-Man" thing is his signature--he'd cut off his shriveled balls first.

The only female not a plaything is Diedre, and if he goes too far afield, SHE jerks him up short. The only reason he is bearable is because of her. She forces him to swing the pendulum back--otherwise he would be guzzling koolaid with the worst of them.

Which sidekick? He has two prime ones, Bernard and that other asskisser. If it was Sid who did the harrassing (sounds like him) he has been gone for some time, replaced by the Fat Man who does sports. Sid had a coke/sex addiction/booze problem, and "they say" he was not able to stay on the wagon and was cut loose.

I have difficulty with Imus for his horrific behavior at the Correspondent's Dinner years ago. His hideous, unfunny presentation in front of the Clintons (in the Monica era) left EVERYONE appalled. It was mean, nasty and cruel. No one laughed...not even Bill's ardent enemies. He needs to shine Bill's shoes, and kiss Hillary's ass on the floor of the Senate to even BEGIN to be forgiven. It was a SHAMEFUL, and worst of all, UNFUNNY display that left EVERYONE, right, left and center, feeling mightily ill at ease.

I suspect Imus was, too.

18. He's on the wagon--Diedre won't let him near booze, pills or coke
His only joys in life are his charity (the ranch) and that rather spoiled child of his, Wyatt.

25. That was a lot of information!
Thanks.

I've been watching him (once in a while) over too long a period of time for him to still be taking nicotine crutch items.

I went patch, gum the works and it didn't take years....

Bo, I just cannot stomach. He's such a goomba!

4. He's a burnt out old cokehead
and he looks like a bag lady and all his buds are racist assholes but sometimes the show is funny. Problem is it comes on here (west coast) at 3 in the morning and if I'm up I'd rather listen to Rachel Maddow.

5. Imus is a faux democrat.
He pretends to be some sort of moderate/independent, pretended to support Kerry, but he surrounds himself with absolute rightwing goons and agrees with them 90% of the time. His support for Kerry consisted mostly of his bashing Kerry at every opportunity and regurgitating rightwing talking points on a regular basis. He is more or less a cocaine-addled/fake cowboy clone of tweety - once was a liberal but now knows where his paycheck comes from and doesn't cross that rovian line.

I suggest you get your morning show fix elsewhere.

6. I watch him every morning
He can (or mostly the people he works with can) make me crazy, but he does some good interviews and I enjoy him much more than the inanity of the Today show, etc.

8. Sometimes hes ok but
Most of the time him and especially Bernard are classles pieces of shit. I turned it on Tues morning only to hear them totally slam Dick Clark for appearing on his show on Ney Years Eve. I turned him off after that

9. I watch him until Beau Dietl comes on;
that guy is so crude and obnoxious.
Imus frequently has good/interesting people on, and he reminds me of my NY roots.

13. I agree with all the above posters, and I have enjoyed the show
for the same reasons. But one thing he said this week really upset me. He said that he didn't see any problem with the spying, thought it was no big deal. Selling out our constitution does seem like a big deal to me, and I think it is highly irresponsible for him to drop those kind of comments on a national radio/tv show without a countering viewpoint.

15. That doesn't sound right to me...

Imus has talked about the illegality of Bush's actions. Even today when he was talking to Santorum, he said that. So, not sure what you are referring to.

I don't look to Imus for my political opinions. I mostly find him entertaining, funny, and sometimes thought provoking.

24. It ticked me off so much that I've been thinking about it ever since
and was going to email the show tonight (like anyone there cares). But yes, I have heard him say controversial things and sometimes play devil's advocate just to get a rise out of people, so who knows what kind of a mood he was in when he said it.

14. Imus was toying with him
Imus has had Santorum on before and gave him shit for being an asshole and later said he didn't want him on again.

Today Imus was baiting him with questions of whether he would ask Bush to support him. ( Imus had gotten Arizona congressman JD Hayworth to admit that he did not want Bush anywhere near him last month on his show) But Rick said yes, he would ask Bush to support him and then said he thought Bush was a great person for not attacking his detractors, he was such a nice guy and had done so much good for the Country bla bla bla. Then he asked Imus if he would support him and Imus said something like "you're insane, yeah I'll support ya" and hung up on him. He really does not like that man.

16. I missed it. I usually watch while getting ready in the morning from 6:30
to 7:00ish. I don't like CNN's morning show (although recently I have been watching that more than Imus).

He went on Xmas holiday, and there was just MSNBC news on in the interim.

19. like his interviews
with politicians and media people. They seem totally different when they are talking to him on the phone or in the studio.
He is not shy about telling people they are nuts - guess I enjoy it when he punctures the giant egos.
