"Here he is proving his independence by remaining loyal to bush"
Edited on Mon Mar-13-06 10:45 AM by BlooInBloo
Chris Matthews talking about McCain on the Today show just now (7:30 Pacific time).

I don't have any words for this - lil help?

EDIT: Put in the approximate time the statement was on TV.

1. Matthews is certainly getting greater exposure
It must be his reward for shilling the current administration (not to mention promotion the Cons at every opportunity).

For quite a while I've been wondering why I should listen to or care about what Chris Matthews has to say. And for a few weeks, I haven't been able to come up with a single reason.

3. I was wondering what all of his current appearances meant
It certainly seems like he's been hitting other shows more lately.

8. Payback
Seriously. His appearances sure seem to have a direct relationship to his Con promotion. He had about a week of ummm....expressed doubts right around the time Dick Cheney SHOT A GUY IN THE FACE! LOL! He went away for a few days, and when he came back it was like he'd gone on a Republican Retreat (re-indroctination). He's worse than ever now!

4. I have two words: media whore
Whoever sends marching orders to Chris Matthews thinks we're stupid.

5. Comments like that just make both of them look like idiots.
Not much of a stretch.

7. Matthews is wretched

It is bad for your health to watch him. Quickly turn off the TV whenever he appears.

9. Like teenaged Brittney fans...
"We like to dress just her to express our individuality."

The irony runs thick at BushCo.

11. You might want to read a report on tweety's "independence"...
from Hardball for the left, softball for the right: Conservatives dominate on Hardball

<snip>
In December 2005, after documenting dozens of examples of Matthews proffering conservative misinformation on Hardball, Media Matters for America crowned him "Misinformer of the Year" -- succeeding Fox News Channel host Bill O'Reilly. And as this brief study documents, the views expressed on Hardball are "more conservative than people think": Republican/conservative guests have dominated Hardball panels since 2006 began.
