Energy Secretary said he didn't know about North Slope spill for a week

I'm saying this out of personal experience, not with a link. I heard him speak on Friday, and in response to a question from the audience about the ongoing pipeline spill, he stated that he hadn't heard about it until the day before - that is, Thursday, March 9th.

As the link below notes, I posted my first story on this on Saturday, March 4th, and the story references a break beginning on Thursday, March 2nd - all of which makes me wonder if I'm really all that much smarter than the Secretary of Energy.
