Tornadoes, Fires, and Divine Wrath at Red States
Edited on Mon Mar-13-06 03:50 PM by VogonGlory
You know, if the current round of tornadoes and range fires had occurred in Democratic-voting states, you'd hear the religious broadcasters and their pals in the right-wing propaganda organs saying that those natural disasters were caused by Divine Wrath because the Almighty was angry at the locals for voting for pro-choice, secular-minded, atheistic, America-hating liberals. Of course, since these states vote Republican nothing will be said.

1. God and I talked last night - his Kansas tornadoes missed last night.
He was trying for Fred Phelps.

5. No, they did not miss. Lawrence, KS got hit bad.
They closed KU down because 60% of the buildings were damaged.

10. Isn't that where the National Severe Storms Laboratory is?
Where the tornado hunters are based? Odd, that.

15. I was thinking about last night
Edited on Mon Mar-13-06 06:42 PM by proud2Blib
Didn't Lawrence get hit yesterday morning? And I thought it was just wind, not a tornado.

14. I agree, I would hate to lose any people capable of
thinking for themselves.

When shit like this happens, and I do feel bad for any one who suffers through these events (even nutters), it always seems like Jerry Falwell or someother pompous ass has to share his conversations with God about why he did it.

It makes me laugh when a pompous ass like myself gets to make the comment first.

2. That is ridiculous
It is almost spring. Guess what happens then? Bad weather on the plains. Every spring. Not only the springs following an election where the plains states voted Republican or Democrat.

The states on the east coast have hurricane season, we have tornado season.

6. The religious nuts will say that ...
Edited on Mon Mar-13-06 03:54 PM by BattyDem
Red States are being punished for the sins of the pro-choice, secular-minded, atheistic, America-hating liberals in the Blue States ... just like US soldiers are being killed to punish homosexuality and tolerance in the US ... just like 3000 people died in the WTC because the liberal, pagan sister of a gay atheist had an abortion ... etc. etc. It never occurs to them that they did anything wrong or offended the gods in anyway. :eyes:

On edit: Why does an act of NATURE always have to be an act of GOD? I guess, it's one and the same as far as they're concerned.

7. Illinois is a blue state
They had tornados last night.

God is not punishing the red states, any more than He is punishing California every time they have an earthquake.

Tornados rip through the midwest and south this time of year. Hurricanes rip through the Gulf Coast in their season. Earthquakes hit fault lines and sometimes other places for scientific reasons.

Sam Kineson would have said that if you don't want these things to happen to you, you would move. (He had the joke about starving people in Africa-they live in the desert! Of course there's no food there! Send them trucks and take them to where the food is!).

That's what the freepers would say if all the victims were democrats or black.

13. Har, fucking har har.
Don't know where you are from, but cut it some fuckin' slack pal. These tornadoes were only few miles up the road from me. Not trying to be a dick about it, but who fucking cares what they'd say, it's not like a damn thing that they would say means anything anyhow.

Had to rescue the dog off the porch and had all 3 cats in bed with me.
Straight line winds and rain.
It was pretty fierce.
