Was Cheney booed in Wisconsin today
Just heard the boos on CNN and did a check.

<snip>
Vice President Dick Cheney told Wisconsin supports Monday that terrorists who were at war with the US long before September 11th are now testing America's resolve in Iraq.

Speaking at a fundraiser for State Representative John Gard in De Pere, Cheney says progress in Iraq has not come easily, but it is "steady."

Cheney also talked about Democratic Wisconsin US Senator Russ Feingold's resolution to censure the president over domestic wiretapping. He calls the senator's resolution an "outrageous proposition." Cheney's first mention of Feingold drew boos. The Vice President smiled and told the crowd not to hold back.

6. "...at a fundraiser for State Representative John Gard"
Gard is Wisconsin's own Bill Frist. Not surprised the Gard campaign doesn't like Feingold.

Though it was fairly close, Feingold carried Brown County in 2004 (even though Brown went for Bush over Kerry in the Presidential election).

Another election 04 glitch vote for a liberal Jewish Senator but then vote for a conservative repug president?

9. Possible, but more likely speaks to Feingold's support all over the state
Feingold seems to appeal to both Democrats and Republicans here.

He got a much higher percentage in WI in 2004 than Kerry did, and in districts with both Republican and Democratic House reps.
