JESSICA SIMPSON SET FOR REPUBLICAN DINNER

The National Republican Congressional Committee has snagged the wholesome, blonde and buxom Jessica Simpson to attend its fundraising gala on Thursday. House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) is the lucky guy who gets to sit next to the “Dukes of Hazzard” star.

Not that he would recognize her, ROLL CALL reports.

“I’m not even sure if he knows who Jessica Simpson is,” the Majority Leader’s spokesman, Kevin Madden, told HOH. “Boehner’s celebrity recognition standards crashed and burned with the introduction of color television.”

26. When is she just going to go away? You would think the media
could find some other hot new property instead of forcing Jessica Simpson on us ad nauseum. I don't even know what she does or has been in, but I see her at every newstand and every market & bodega check out.

The fact that she kisses republican ass makes her even more contemptible. I think she's tacky and cheap looking.

There's an inverse relationship between being an accomplished entertainer and being a Republican. A listers just aren't Republicans.
Of course, Simpson is hardly an A. (more like a double d.)
