I just have to bitch about O'Reilly
He's been saying a bunch of stupid shit lately(no surprise) but two things specifically have pissed me off lately.

The child molestation thing and trying to get the judge impeached or whatever he's doing and secondly, the Dubai ports thing, he's all "told you so" now that they seem to be pulling all their money out of the USA.

First on the child molestation, no one is pro-child molestation but when you have a prosecutor that plea bargained down to something much less than the charge that O'Reilly seems to think he *should* be convicted with, then the judge can't do much about that. If they had such a strong case against this man, then why did they plea bargain, knowing that he could very well end up with just probation? Isn't it therefore, just as much the prosecution's fault as anyones? Just because the great Bill O'Reilly thinks someone should go to jail forever (and maybe this man should, I don't know the specifics of this case and I doubt Bill does) doesn't mean that that is the absolute last word on justice. Maybe all court cases should be tried on Fox News and people should be sentenced with an on-line poll. I mean honest to God!

And second of all the Dubai ports deal. Now Bill is crowing that he was right and we should have appeased the UAE and let the ports deal go through. I thought republicans didn't like appeasement? Wasn't that why we were attacked on 9/11, because the evil liberals "appeased" the radical Muslims? And now he wants us to appease the Arab world? How hypocritical is this exactly? And for another thing, I don't want to kiss the UAE's ass so that we get the privilege of being in debt to them and selling off our infrastructure. That's what he's mad about really, when it comes down to it. Bush has set our economy on a house of cards and Bill O'Reilly sees that as just an effective way to fight the war on terror. Ugh, rant off.
