Bolton compares Iran threat to Sept 11 attacks
Bolton compares Iran threat to Sept 11 attacks
Wed Mar 15, 2006 7:59 PM ET

By Evelyn Leopold and Irwin Arieff
UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, on Wednesday compared the threat from Iran's nuclear programs to the September 11 terror attacks on the United States.

"Just like September 11, only with nuclear weapons this time, that's the threat. I think that is the threat," Bolton told ABC News' Nightline program.

"I think it's just facing reality. It's not a happy reality, but it's reality and if you don't deal with it, it will become even more unpleasant."

Bolton ratcheted up the rhetoric as the five veto-holding members of the U.N. Security Council failed again to reach agreement on how to curb Iran's nuclear ambitions after a fifth round of negotiations.

2. Same old tired jokes.
Nobody's laughing any more, Yosemite.

I say we let Bush go into Iran. After he's impeached. Alone. Airdrop him - he'll get to wear his spiffy codpiece-equipped flight suit.

Another dark spot on our image abroad.

7. It's a form of classical conditioning, it is supposed to reinforce
the lies about 9/11. It doesn't work on the audience that is awake.

8. The US is beating the war drum and chanting the war songs.
Iran is now a bigger problem than Iraq and in Iraq there is a hot war involving 130K US forces. The perception of reality expressed by Bolton, Rice, and Bush simply boggles the mind.

It is plainly PREPOSTEROUS. But the dictaphone commercial news media doesn't remark on that.

9. I see that they've dug out all of the speeches they gave in 2001-02
and simply changed one freaking letter, from Iraq to Iran. These idiots need to be physically removed from office!

12. Does that mean if Iran does not hand themselves over to the U.S.
Then the U.S. is going to attack itself again, plunge itself into despair, and desperately lash out at anyone 'against us?'
