"If we were to censure or impeach *, we have Cheney and that's like
jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire." R CSPAN caller on Washington Journal now.

Skidmore's reply: You VOTED for them. Tough crunchies!

2. They do like bringing this up

Kind of a nonsensical argument, at any rate. The fact is if we successfully impeached President Bush (which seems unlikely, but there you go), Cheney would inherit a crippled presidency. As bad as he is (and he is quite bad) his power to do very much would be pretty curtailed.

8. I agree with you to a point. I think it would be tough to get * impeached,

but I don't think the pukes would let Cheney have the presidency.. He isn't looked upon kindly among his own party, and he has something like a 29% approval rating.. He'd be even easier than * to impeach, and I think even the pukes know that.. If push came to shove, and they honestly thought there was a real chance that * could be impeached, they would pressure Cheney to step down and they'd try to give the VP position to Rice, Jeb, or McCain.. That way when * was actually forced to leave office they'd have someone who would be an incumbent in the 2008 race.. Just my .02, for what that's worth..

4. No if an Impeachment went through
both Houses and * was removed, it would have the effect of making Dick a eunuch. He'd have no power for 2 years.

5. So what are they saying about Cheney?
I don't think it works out as being very complimentary to the man who shot his friend in the face.

7. Remember back to the 2000 campaign when Cheney selected himself,
and the Rs were so reassured that *'s "youth" was being tempered by "maturity"? There is a level at which this is hilarious. The "adult" in the room is insane and the kid is delusional. Ah, leadership.

6. We have ample evidence to impeach them both.
Between wiretapping and Plame, we can get rid of both of them fairly easily.

11. Well, since Cheney is the real power behind the throne
Impeaching Bush won't worsen matters at all, and actually might improve things.

12. Impeaching * would put Cheney on notice
that he's next.
