Sectarian or Insurgence - How do we know what type of fighter

They are calling the violence these days in Iraq, Sectarian. How do we know if we are fighting the Insurgency or the Sectarian violence? And is this the last throes of Sectarian violence or is Sectarian violence the last throes of the insurgency?

Do the Sectarians use the same IED's and weapons as the insurgency. Does the insurgency still exist, or did they become the Sectarians? Maybe the insurgency was the sectarians all along.

Rummy, please tell us more of your fair war tales.

2. I just find it amazing how the terms evolve in the regime explanation

It is almost like they have a schedule of terms to move to when one gets old.
Surely the insurgency is not dead, but you no longer hear that term, it is all sectarian now.
Of course I always questioned how they could call them insurgents in the first place, they are freedom fighters trying to free their country from an oppressor. US.
