2006 winds of change...want proof:
Seems to me that the GOP feels the same winds of change that many of us feel. I believe this because of the recent deluge of fundamentalist anti-sex legislation that has sprouted up. The recent legislation in South Dakota, for instance. The Gay-Adoption Bill. Today I'm now reading that the State of Kansas now requires parental consent for public school sex education programs.

Historically, these aren't especially popular campaign year issues. I'm personally under the impression that the GOP knows that they have lost their political capital during the last 5 years, and realize that they are under the gun on the fundamentalist legislation agenda.

Just a thought, but makes perfect sense to me.

1. All we need is an opposition party
and the lack of one is the only thing keeping these guys in power.

2. Yup....you have nailed it..
Feingold, Conyers, most of the time Boxer....and a few more are the only ones that have been fighting...

But where are the rest of the Dems....we need to replace them if they won't do the jobs we sent them there to do!!

4. Nothing Has Changed....
Until something changes, Nothing Has Changed. I'll believe it when I see it.

These guys could care less about polls or what the people want. If the dems don't win BIG in November, then things will only continue the same exact way. Even if we do manage to somehow eke out a win of enough seats to get a majority, it just means 2 further years of stagnation, and nothing getting done.

It's a bleak future if you ask me, but I guess we can all hope...just like we did in 2000, 2002, 2004........

5. WRONG! A Democratic victory in November means the..
damage will be stopped and all the shit that has occured over the last 6 years WILL BE INVESTIGATED!
Also, Dems winning the big four (majorities), House/Senate/Governorships/State Houses will important in laying the ground work for the 08' election.
