Massive Air Attack On Iraq? - Or, Phoney Baloney
The Pentagon and the DoD released looped video of what appears to be an airlift - cuts to about 60 troops? on the ground and two still photos' of the long line of Blackhawks.

Dubbed "Shock n Awe 2" or A Massive Air Attack On Iraq, While Bush allowed total coverage of the first "Shock N Awe" my inquiry is, has anyone seen actual video or pics of this event actually happening? link perhaps yes/no/maybe?

3. No reporters
wolf on CNN kept remarking on that...first time they didn't allow even embedded reporters.

That makes it all the more suspicious. Wolf guessed it could be so they wouldn't see how Iraqi soldiers did.
I wondered if they didn't like the AP pictures of the 5 dead kids recently while the military was reporting total of 4 dead, just 1 child. Maybe this time they wanted no pictures of "collateral damage"

I never thought of idea it might not be as big as claimed.

4. Phoney Baloney, or ...
... they don't want any documented proof that they're still using white phosphorus, or nukes, or God only knows what else on primarily defenseless Iraqi civilians ...

5. Check out this BBC article
Seems to imply that this "major offensive" is questionable:
"There are no independent reports of Thursday's offensive so far."

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4814094.stm

I love this quote:
"The BBC's Andrew North in Baghdad says the operation - which was carried out in daylight and so did not rely on surprise - may have been more about making a show of strength than crushing specific targets."

6. or...Bush is doing so badly, someone had to come up with something
Pentagon supplied video footage isn't convincing whatsoever, just conveying a thought/news that something big has happened?

Time for all the ex-generals, pro-chimp, people to come out of the wood work again. I think I already seen this dog and pony show before.

Come out and play America. Play the mind game.

9. I believe the DoD this time
At least in this case:

1. The story was on NPR this afternoon as being primarily an air assault; not many ground troops, primarily air.

2. Earlier in the week, perhaps last week, there was a story about how the AC-130s are being brought back to Iraq.

Personally, while I regard any info coming from this regime as suspect, as any sane perso would (FreeRepublic need not apply), I believe it this time. If this is a small truth, it demonstrates the bigger lie that things over there aren't going as well as we're being told. Bring 'em home.
