Chris Hitchens seems MENACING and is positively fightening to me.

I just watched him on Larry King Live. (I taped it earlier and just watched it now.) He was on a panel with Katrina vanden Heuvel, of The Nation , Michael Weiskoff of Time Magazine, Sen. Diane Feinstein, and Sen. Lindsay Graham. They were discussing the big air attack on Iraq the U.S.A. launched today. I won't go into all their remarks, but simply say that they were all (except for Hitchens) unhappy with the state of affairs in Iraq, in one way or other. Hitchens, as usual, was rabid in his defence of Bush's little war. But what got me was the look in his eyes....Scary....And his menacing tone when he addressed any of their remarks. The man is a psychopath!...I just had to get this off my chest. He bothered me so much....
P.S...I'm going to bed now...Will check back in the morning...

3. I had an uncle like that
He was a war hawk and scared us by wandering around in his sleep reliving the war. But at least he was a WWII Naval aviator. Hitchens has no such excuse.

4. He lives in fear that someone will throw this in his face ...
"This will be no war -- there will be a fairly brief and ruthless military intervention. The president will give an order. It will be rapid, accurate and dazzling. It will be greeted by the majority of the Iraqi people as an emancipation. And I say, bring it on."

Quote from Christopher Hitchens commenting on the possibility of a war in Iraq, 1/28/03.

It's like the guy had a crystal ball ...

6. LOL, don't worry
Hitchens is a weird fellow. UK Trotskyite who doesn't like radical Islam and therefore allies himself with Bush and Blair on that issue. Otherwise, still unreconstructed. Thinks Kissinger should be tried for war crimes, etc.

He's also a well known drunk, but then so are some of my best friends ;)

7. Don't be fightened!
He has been relegated to eternal insignificance by his actions.

Nobody takes Hitchens seriously - just a bad side show freak.

9. I saw him to. I have seen him several different times in different forums
He reminds me of a dictator kind of guy. He is scary. His language reminds me a lot of the crap that re pukes use now days. Words like reprehensible, disgusting, treasonous, treachery, and on and on.

Remember the rhetoric years ago of the communist party in Russia? Well, he kind of reminds me of that, but only opposite.

His reasoning is totally flawed and his logic is false and yet he sits there and spouts it out anyway. Scary is good word for him. And when you say something that he disagrees with, he goes for the throat.

10. Weiskoff accused Hitch of rewriting history after Hitch said Saddam's Iraq
was going to implode even if the U.S had not invaded. There would have been chaos anyway, Hitch claims. So we saved the Iraqi people. :eyes:
