8. Don't knock Quayle.
As horrible as he is, he would have been a thousand times better president than Dubya.

16. Believe it not,
he's smarter. I watched the Republican debates in 2000 and was surprised to see they had a candidate even dumber than Quayle: George Walker Bush.

And he is a scion of a right-wing family; but not a criminal one with world-wide connections.

18. Are you absolutely certain
he has no criminal ties? One might say that the Republican party, of which he is a member, is itself a criminal organization.

As for being smarter than Junior... um, let's just say I'm unconvinced.

25. If you had bothered to watch,
I wouldn't have to make it for you. Bush couldn't even hold his own against the likes of Quayle.

26. Offensive much?
I appreciate that you are trying to say Quayle is smarter than Bush; I'm telling you I'm unconvinced. Let's leave it at that before you become more hostile, m'kay?

10. Quayle is the reason I started voting for Democrats (as a Repub)
Quayle with his holy war against a fictitious TV character named Murphy Brown revealed to me the zealots in power scenario and it scared the sh*t out of me...this idiot was one step away from the nuke button.

Almost voted Perot but pulled the lever for Bill.

12. I went back and read Perot's book from '92
As crazy as the guy was, his book has some pretty good stuff in it. Radical stuff on how to pay down the debt - raising taxes while cutting spending. Problem was, nobody really wanted to hear it.

13. Hell, I voted for Perot in '92
Crazy as the old man was, he made a lot of sense about how to right what is wrong with government. But voted for Clinton is '96, natch.

17. He was dead right about what would happen with "free trade"
Remember how he warned about that "sucking sound" taking jobs out of this country?

14. He also predicted what outsourcing would do to this country
I came very close to pulling the lever for him because I was seeing the zealot takeover of the Republican party way back then and I was pissed as one of those northeast Rockefeller Republicans. I realized that a "protest" vote for Perot could possibly guarantee that Quayle got back as VP...couldn't take that chance and voted for Bill.

Crazy is a relative term....LOOK AT WHAT WE HAVE NOW!!!!
