A new report by the Center for Public Integrity alleges that new House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) is corporate "highflyer," accepting of many lobbyist gifts, able to move millions from corporations to Congressional Republicans through PACs, and not so very much unlike his indicted predecessor.
The group has examined Congressional and Federal Elections Commission records related to Boehner's "Freedom Project" leadership PAC and found that Boehner has regularly accepted trips paid for by corporations with interests in legislation that was at the time before Congress. While some of these incidents were simply travel on corporation-owned private jets, others were golfing and foreign vacations that Boehner listed as "fact finding" trips.
