Cheney Surfaces in SC
Braving the sunlight, Cuddles was on the stump-

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Vice President Dick Cheney told a crowd of more than 300 people at a fundraiser for a GOP candidate on Friday that party leaders hope they can finally unseat Democratic U.S. Rep. John Spratt.
Cheney said the race by state Rep. Ralph Norman "is going to get a lot of attention this year and we simply could not ask for a better candidate."
Norman is "exactly the kind of advocate you need in the nation's Capitol," Cheney said.

In fact, *mumblemumble* I like him so much I just might shoot him in the face *mumblemumble*

Supporters paid $250 each for a lunch and some $2,100 to have their pictures taken with Cheney. State Sen. Wes Hayes, the Rock Hill Republican who chairs Norman's campaign, said the event should clear $100,000.
"This is beyond amazing," Norman said. It "points out one thing: the people in the 5th District are ready for change," he said.

Uh, no Ralph. It means that there are a few dozen rich, greedy, amoral businessmen in a tri-state area.

Cozy up guys. Coattails!

From there, The Dick went to Charleston.

Here he is speaking to some clearly delighted members of the USAF

3. He's coming to Newark, NJ next week for a fundraiser for Tom Keane, Jr.
who's running for senator. Funny, isn't it? Tom Keane's father is former governor, Tom Keane. The same Tom Keane who chaired the incomplete and inaccurate report from the 9-11 Commission. Coincidence that his son is reaping the good graces of Dick Cheney? Maybe. Maybe not.

10. I love Pitterpat. She/He looks like my Cinder Kitty.
In all seriousness, I shudder to think that Darth Cheney was close by today. I'm in NE GA. He was only a few hours from here. :scared:

He is my best friend! He greets us at the door, plops down for petting, sleeps with us, sits with us, sings to us! He's the greatest!
