Is it just me? or Do some CNN anchors seem to disapprove of Global Warming
theories?

I think I have heard their scorn in their "reporting". I don't watch them often, so I don't "know" who the CNN anchors are. Bias is so easy to recognize.

1. If they approved of global warming theories,
wouldn't it still be bias?

3. Not if the theories have
validity. Anyway I don't equate expertise on any subject with the corporate media's 'babbling punditocracy'.

4. reporting on scientific studies that have been peer reviewed
as opposed to industry "studies" that are advocacy pieces and have no peer review... is bias?

It seems that except for industry appologists, and bushco media echomachine cogs... global warming is becoming pretty accepted as a real phenomenon, rather than an ongoing "debate" with "bias" if one supports one side or the other.

6. One can feel, think, sense that the preponderance of support is in favor
of one side or the other, but I would be suspicious of anyone who says it does so *very* strongly, and doesn't recognize their own potential error in thinking so. That said, even though there are no absolute "proofs", it is possible to do one's empirical best and perhaps arrive at something better than a 50:50, OR 51:49, OR 52:48 OR whatever chance that one's own examined perception is relatively valid and reliable.

But the real reason I brought it up is because I don't like reporters with personal attitudes that creep into their tone of voice, or into those little asides they deliver when they are on the set together, joking about the weather or making other of their own personal comments about the news. Sometimes in a manner that I can only call "snotty", superior and elitist.

7. Yes you're correct
those media whores are paid big bucks to defend the interests of corporations that destroy our environment.

5. I didn't say they had to approve.
just don't express their attitudes in their reporting, non-verbally or otherwise.

2. Maybe Global Warming disapproves of CNN anchors
People may deny what is going on with the planet as much as they want; it will not stop the earth changes that are happening. Look at the melting artic regions; the killoffs of animals; the strange weather patterns. I don't care how much money or power Bushco and his media lapdogs have; they are no match for the Mother. And I think the Mother will do whatever she needs to to survive, including ridding herself of that which is causing her harm. Follow your intuition, DUers, and don't travel or do things if it doesn't feel right.
